Job description

Join the 2024 summer crew!

 

  • $17/Hour

  • Paid Holidays

  • $75 Weekly Bonuses available

  • Monday - Thursday 6 am - 4 pm

  • 3 Day Weekends!

  1. Minimum requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • Have a high school diploma or GED

    • Must have a good driving record

  2. Under supervision of a supervisor, employee will carry out duties asked.

  3. Properly identify and spray weeds indicated by supervisor, as well as maintain a high standard of quality.

  4. Work as a team with crew members.

  5. While riding with coworkers in vehicles be as courteous as possible. You are there to watch for the driver; limit phone calls, refrain from sleeping, lookout for weeds/risers, etc.

  6. Keep accurate daily spray records with GPS and turn in record of work.

  7. When not spraying, general cleanup/calibration/inventory and all other related tasks will be performed as needed.

  8. Pack yourself a sack lunch.

  9. Employees are to assume responsibility in caring for all Sheridan County Weed and Pest property (tools, trucks, trailers, etc.). Maintain truck by cleaning it out and checking it daily. If something is broken or lost report it to the supervisor.

  10. Fill out time cards daily.

  11. Days off must be arranged in advance except in case of emergency or sickness.

  12. Be on time. Work 40 hours a week for 4 days, from 6:00am to 4:30pm (with some variance week to week) (10-hour days with 30-minute lunch break) (Overtime pay on hours over 40).

  13. All employees may need to lift/carry 50lbs, bend, kneel, and hike steep uneven terrain. They also need to be able to climb up and down the vehicles to mix chemical.

  14. Weekly bonus is based upon attendance and performance and can be revoked by discretion of supervisor.

  15. All employees will be considered probationary for a period of 30 consecutive calendar days following their employment. Unsatisfactory performance will result in termination.
